Benefits of Using Aralia

Aralia, a diverse genus comprising over 70 different species, thrives in the woodlands of the Americas and Asia. This plant family encompasses a range of forms, including evergreen trees, deciduous shrubs, and enchanting flowering plants. For centuries, aralia has been esteemed as a valuable Chinese herb, renowned for its numerous medicinal applications.

May Help Prevent Physical Fatigue

Research suggests that Aralia may have the potential to prevent physical fatigue by shielding the body against oxidative stress caused by intense physical activity. In a study conducted on rats, it was observed that pre-treatment with Aralia exhibited an anti-fatigue effect. This was evident in the reduction of metabolic acidosis and lactate levels, as well as the suppression of muscle injury. Compared to the rats that were not pretreated with Aralia continentalis, those that received the treatment showed improved endurance and were able to sustain physical exertion for a longer period before reaching exhaustion.

Diabetes Mellitus

Aralia taibaiensis, a type of aralia, has shown potential as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, according to recent studies. In one particular study, diabetic rats that were administered aralia orally experienced a decrease in fasting blood glucose levels and an increase in serum insulin levels compared to the control group. However, it is worth noting that the herb did not have any effect on non-diabetic rats.

What is particularly interesting about this study is that it also revealed aralia’s ability to improve other symptoms associated with diabetes. These symptoms include excessive thirst, frequent urination, increased hunger, and unexplained weight loss.
