Common Causes of Lethargy

Understanding Anemia

Anemia is a condition that arises when the body lacks an adequate number of red blood cells to effectively transport oxygen to its various systems. There are several types of anemia, each stemming from different causes. Aplastic anemia occurs when the body fails to produce enough red blood cells, while iron-deficient anemia is caused by low levels of iron. Additionally, vitamin-deficient anemia can result from insufficient levels of folate, vitamin B12, and vitamin C. When the body is deprived of sufficient oxygen, it often leads to feelings of lethargy and weakness as common symptoms.

Anxiety and Depression: Impact on Sleep and Overall Well-being

Anxiety and depression are two common mental health disorders that can greatly disrupt sleeping patterns and have profound effects on the body. Individuals suffering from these conditions often struggle with relaxation, constantly feeling nervous and on edge. As a result, they may experience difficulty in obtaining restorative sleep, leading to prolonged periods of lethargy, weakness, and a general lack of motivation.
