HIV Symptoms in Women

Understanding Nausea and Vomiting in Individuals with HIV

Nausea and vomiting are common issues experienced by individuals living with HIV. Several factors can contribute to these symptoms, such as migraine, liver or kidney failure, gastrointestinal (GI) inflammation, and even pregnancy in women. These side effects often impact their adherence to the prescribed medication regimen. In particular, women may experience heightened nausea and vomiting when taking medications like Ritonavir.
