Symptoms of Kallmann Syndrome in Women
Women affected by Kallmann syndrome may exhibit various symptoms. These include stunted growth spurts, limited pubic hair growth, and a lack of breast development. Some women with Kallmann syndrome may not experience menstruation, while others may start menstruating at a normal age but then cease after a few cycles. It is also possible for women with Kallmann syndrome to undergo partial puberty that does not fully progress.
Additional Symptoms
There are several other symptoms associated with Kallmann syndrome that affect both males and females. These include the presence of a cleft lip or palate, shorter fingers and toes, the development of a single kidney, color blindness, abnormal eye movements, hearing loss, abnormal teeth, and mirror hand movements. Mirror hand movements refer to the unconscious mirroring of one hand’s movements by the other hand.
