Although there are possible adverse effects associated with the use of lithium orotate, the likelihood of experiencing severe complications is considered to be minimal. This particular form of lithium has been in circulation for over four decades, and there have been no documented instances of serious side effects or fatalities in North America connected to its usage.
There was only one reported incident of toxicity, which manifested as nausea and mild tremors. However, these symptoms quickly subsided after three hours of observation in the emergency room.
Renewed Interest in Lithium Orotate
There has been a resurgence of interest in lithium orotate within the scientific community, even though there is a lack of extensive research on its effects. This renewed interest can be attributed to the fact that lithium orotate requires a smaller dosage to achieve a therapeutic level of lithium in the body compared to other forms such as lithium carbonate.
