Swollen Lymph Nodes: A Possible Indication of Breast Cancer
As breast cancer advances, it has the potential to spread to nearby lymph nodes. These affected lymph nodes can be identified as firm masses beneath the skin, commonly found in the armpit or around the collarbone. In some cases, swollen lymph nodes may be identified before other symptoms of breast cancer become apparent.
Signs of Advanced Stage Breast Cancer
If left undetected and untreated, breast cancer can progress to an advanced stage and spread to other parts of the body, a condition known as secondary breast cancer. The most common sites for metastasis are the lymph nodes, tissues, liver, lungs, and bones. The symptoms experienced at this stage vary depending on which organ or tissue the cancer has spread to. However, they often include feelings of general discomfort, extreme tiredness, loss of appetite, recurring nausea, and persistent respiratory issues.
