There are several physical indicators that can suggest a child might be experiencing hearing impairment. Some of these signs include low birth weight and microcephaly, where the child’s head is smaller than average. In certain cases, children with infections may develop rashes or jaundice. Additionally, low oxygen levels during birth can impact hearing and cause the child’s skin to temporarily appear blue or purple.
