The Alexander Technique Benefits

What to Expect During an Alexander Technique Lesson

When you attend an Alexander Technique lesson, you will receive personalized instruction from a certified instructor. Unlike a physical therapy session, there is no intense physical activity involved. You can simply wear your everyday clothing and come with an open mind.

During the lesson, the teacher will carefully observe your movements and posture, both visually and by using their hands. This evaluation allows them to identify areas that need improvement. Once the evaluation is complete, a plan will be devised to address these areas and make necessary corrections.

Typically, Alexander Technique lessons are scheduled two to three times a week, with each session lasting between thirty minutes to forty-five minutes. It is important to note that the progress made during the lessons relies on the student’s commitment to practicing what they have learned in between sessions.
