1. Treat with Clove Oil
Clove and clove oil have been a popular remedy for toothaches for centuries. They contain a compound called Eugenol that acts as a numbing agent. The plant is also an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and analgesic agent. You can use an eyedropper to add drops of the oil on a cotton swab or tissue. Apply directly to the gums close to the affected tooth. Avoid touching the tongue and cheeks with the swab, as it can irritate the gums.
