Night Sweats
Clinically known as sleep hyperhidrosis, this is a condition where you sweat at night and it’s common for several types of cancer. This is not due to overheating. It’s instead from hormonal changes that commonly occur with bone cancer and other types of cancer. Fevers may also cause a similar type of sweating. This tends to show that the body is trying to fight off the cancer, or as a reaction to the resulting anxiety and stress of having cancer.
Weight Loss and Reduce Appetite
Many people with bone cancer unintentionally lose 10 or more pounds. Muscle loss and weight reduction are common symptoms of cancer. Normally the body will produce cytokines in response to cancer. These are proteins made from both immune cells and non-immune cells. They will attempt to destroy the cancer. This production naturally reduces your appetite, which leads to the weight loss. Some will experience cachexia, which causes very significant muscle wasting and weight loss in the advanced stages.
