8. Decreased Appetite
A decreased appetite might not seem like a pressing matter at first. Most people are happy about the chance to drop a few pounds. But if someone finds that they’ve lost any desire to eat it could be a symptom of something that needs immediate medical attention. This is especially true if they show signs of any other symptom of liver damage. There’s one simple reason for that fact. A decreased appetite isn’t just a sign of liver damage. It’s a sign that liver damage has progressed toward full liver failure. As such, it’s urgent that people seek medical attention as quickly as possible if they show any other signs of liver disease alongside a decreased appetite.
9. Nausea and Vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are hardly exclusive to liver damage. Both of these symptoms are quite common in any number of different medical conditions. One of the signs that nausea is a pressing issue has to do with the duration of the symptoms. Nausea that comes and goes within a handful of hours is normal. But if nausea persists over days rather than hours it could indicate a larger scale buildup of toxins associated with liver failure.
