15 Foods to Avoid with Gallbladder Issues

2. High-Fat Meats

Canned meats, like Spam, are on the banned list for people with gallbladder issues. It would help if you stayed away from high-fat cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. These can increase the chances of developing gallstones. Other examples of meats that have high-fat content include hotdogs, processed sausage, and most deli meats. This does not mean that you cannot eat meat of any type. Instead, stick to lean meats, like seafood and turkey. Tofu is an acceptable meat alternative if you want to put your carnivore side in the past.

3. Eggs

Eggs are a breakfast staple in most of the world. Unfortunately, eggs have a high-fat content. If you already have problems with your gallbladder, consuming eggs can lead to issues like gallstones. If you feel that you cannot live without eating eggs, try poaching them. This can lower the fat content. From time to time, you can enjoy egg whites. However, fried eggs that have the yolks are a no-go for those with gallbladder issues.
